Jaguars player kidnapped while visiting North Carolina
Jacksonville Jaguars safety Earl Wolff is doing just fine after being abducted in North Carolina last month, according to a report from the Fayetteville Observer Saturday.

Initially, police reports did not mention that Wolff was a football player, but the Observer reports that a source at North Carolina State, where Wolff played football, and his uncle, confirmed that Wolff was kidnapped. He was released unharmed after “a short time” and his vehicle was eventually recovered as well.
The report says that the incident involving Wolff took place on February 23, but authorities are unsure how long the 26-year-old was kidnapped for.
Wolff was released by the Eagles in August, due to a knee injury, and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad in December. One of the alleged suspects was arrested Thursday, and police are looking for others.
Kincade said investigators don’t know whether Wolff was targeted or if the crime was random.
Annabelle Meyers, assistant athletics director for communications at NC State, told the newspaper that she had spoken to Wolff, and said he’s “really shook up”. Wolff’s vehicle was discovered by police in a nearby city, and a man by the name of Bobby DeShawn Bailey was arrested and charged in connection with Wolf’s kidnapping. He was drafted in the fifth round of the National Football League draft by Philadelphia and is a defensive back on Jaguars practice roster. Bailey’s charges range from robbery with a unsafe weapon, first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy, larceny, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana.

He is now being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $156,000 secured bond.
