Jaguars rout Colts 51-16, ending Indy’s AFC South streak
Bortles was at his best in the second half.

Wide receiver Allen Hurns shook off a missed tackle to turn a modest pass play into an 80-yard touchdown. The Jaguars beat the Colts 51-16. Contributing to Jacksonville’s blowout win was Rashad Greene’s 73-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Bortles took over after that and led the Jaguars on three consecutive long scoring drives. Allen Robinson has become the Jaguars’ best wide receiver since the Jimmy Smith days.
What do you think? “For us, we just stick to our game plan and our defense scored at the end of the half so the score was only 13-9”. Soon. The Colts are in a swoon.
The Odds: This game is listed as a pickem after the Colts opened as a 1.5 point favorite.
It’s a young man’s game, Matt Hasselbeck.
Adongo has played a few downs here and there this season, as well as in 2013. “I know we’ve got all the tools to be as special as we want to be”. I’m willing to overlook my three very bad bets because of one good one and therefore, I am an idiot. They didn’t slow down, with another 21 in the fourth quarter, an unheard of outburst. It was the Jaguars’ fifth victory of the season, which is their most wins since 2011.
Second-year linebacker Jordan Tripp filled in nicely for Paul Posluszny at middle linebacker. They aren’t going to offer to sit their star player J.J. “We can get it right”.
“He took a couple good shots there”, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. But Jacksonville held Indianapolis to 60 yards rushing and 16 total points when the two teams met in Week 4. We’ve got to go on the road.
“You can climb from the depths, from the bottom of the valley all the way up the mountain top”.
“We’ve got three games left”. “We earned that. We’ve been talking about it all week: Can we put a complete game together?” This exact same thing happened in 2006 to this football team in this stadium. We had things going the way we wanted them to go, but then it got out of hand. They have won some big games in big ways, even coming from behind once or twice in shootouts that the old Bengals would have found a way to lose.
“There’s a lot of stuff going on here that I can’t explain”, Colts safety Dwight Lowery said.
The Colts fell to 6-7 with a second consecutive loss, one game ahead of the Jaguars, and would fly home keeping an eye on the New England-at-Houston game. “We’ve got to get out of that mentality about leading the league with a losing record”, Lowery said.
NOTES: Indianapolis’ win was the seventh in a row in the series with the Jaguars who haven’t beaten their division rivals since September of 2012…. He’s been a positive rollercoaster in that he’s shown great progress on when he plays at a high level but still dips back down occasionally when his team needs him.
The Jaguars scored 42 second half points in what could be described as “a slaying of AFC South demons”. “We just can’t keep our heads down”. And it’s anyone’s guess whether the Colts’ playoff hopes rest with Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck or Charlie Whitehurst. Bradley said during OTAs that Marshall may have the best ball skills of all the Jaguars’ defensive backs.

The injury occurred when Hasselbeck, who was scrambling, went to the ground hard after being pushed out of bounds by Jaguars linebacker along Jacksonville’s sideline. He didn’t come back this time. Hasselbeck suffered injuries to his neck and ribs in last week’s loss at Pittsburgh but the desperate Colts won’t have their All-Pro starter back until next week at the earliest. I have 50 bucks. We’re putting everything in.
