Jahlil Okafor got in second fight

Based on the Latvian’s impressive play on the court and Okafor’s troubles off it, the Knicks must be pleased with the way things are working out. The news outlet followed up with additional video of a second scuffle Okafor got into that night. Still dealing with the league and the team but I’m not happy about it all. “Today we learned more”. “It’s something that I am embarrassed about”. “And this has caught him off guard”. Reckless driving, an incident that reportedly led to a gun being pulled on Okafor, and the rookie getting into a fight in a night out in Boston have marred what has been a good season individually on the court. The team has not yet confirmed this, but sources said it is like that the 76ers will grant the said request. “And nobody is proud of this right now. Nobody is taking this anything else but extremely serious”.

Okafor, 19, addressed the Boston incident with the media on Friday.

A representative for Okafor denied that he used a fake ID. He said it was a case of bad judgment and it would not happen again.

Okafor is averaging 17.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the Sixers, who beat the Lakers 103-91 on Tuesday for the first win of the 2015-16 season.

Which begs the question – what kind of person tries to incite a fight with a seven-footer? “It’s tough love and support”. I think the guy was just talking shit. “This isn’t a typical National Basketball Association program”. On Sunday, Okafor apologized for his recent transgressions.

“This is not something that we dismiss”, Brown said. “To think that you are going to build the program that we have built that is dominated by 19- and 20-year-old kids and for there not to be problems is very, very, very naive”, said Brown. He knows he’s made mistakes and we know he’s made mistakes. Okafor has since been assigned his own personal security to accompany him on the road. I saw him a minute after he knocked the dude out.

So not surprisingly, the team is taking control of the situation, according to a report from ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
