Jahlil Okafor Recently Pulled Over for Driving 108 miles per hour

After a series of alarming off-court incidents in the past couple of months, Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Jahlil Okafor took to Twitter Sunday to address mounting concerns about his conduct and commitment to a winless team buried at the bottom of the National Basketball Association standings.

The man states in the report that he was punched and knocked to the ground outside a nightclub early Thursda morning, authorities said. The man told police that the fight broke out after some of his female friends refused the advances of two other men, including one believed to be Okafor.

Okafor, a rookie who dished out stellar show this season despite his team’s dismal run, hit headlines after getting involved in a Boston street brawl on Wednesday.

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey is now reporting there was a third off-the-court incident involving the 19-year-old in October. At this point I am cooperating and respecting the process I have to go through.

Laker Facts, a fan-made blog at Sports Blog, said that while Russell is not going to be the next Kobe Bryant, the 19-year-old Louisville, Kentucky native “clearly is going to have something to offer in the future” of the illustrious franchise.

Four sources independently confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer that Okafor was pulled over about three weeks ago for driving 108 miles per hour. In New Jersey, speeding over 40-mph on the bridge is enough to charge the driver for reckless driving.

Authorities have not released any further information on either of these incidents.
