Shakin’ it off. Fans were in a tizzy on Monday, July 20, after Good Morning America welcomed Jake Gyllenhaal to the show as his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s hit song “Bad Blood” played in the background – but Gyllenhaal himself says he wasn’t at all fazed by the coincidence. The actor confessed that he’s been in love “three times”, and hopes to get married one day, but has always been “scared” of a lifelong commitment.

“Associating you with Taylor Swift?”

“So they aren’t they sabotaging you in a sense?” “What a power couple!”

He continued: “I would have said, ‘Jake, this is The One.’ Because to me, nothing is sexier than a woman who can play songs and write”. Taylor thought that was a slight jab at her so she tweeted at Nicki, then the rapper repeatedly said it had nothing to do with her. The feud when on with even Katy Perry getting involved but then finally Taylor apologized and tweeted: “I thought I was being called out”.

The “Brokeback Mountain” star laughed off Stern’s comments, but did note that Swift is a “beautiful girl”.

Robert Quivers noted that Swift has written a song about Gyllenhaal, but the actor feigned ignorance, according to an E!

The King of All Media also insisted that Gyllenhaal should have married the “Shake It Off” singer.

Jake tries hard to dodge questions about Taylor as he promotes his new film, Southpaw. At age 11, the actor had just gotten his big break playing Billy Crystal’s son in 1991’s City Slickers. (Listen to the clip here.) “But my parents were like, ‘Look, you’re about to enter junior high school, you gotta get your education, that’s the most important thing”. The morning of the awards ceremony, said the actor, “I remember actually I was so nervous before that I had gone on a hike with my dog and I got poison ivy all over my arms. I’m not really listening to background anything”.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal dated from October to December, 2010.

Reportedly the tune “All Too Well” from Swift’s album “Red” is about the actor.
