Fantasy Impact: The Jacksonville Jaguars caught a break this time around when it comes to an injury to their first round draft pick.

Ramsey, a Brentwood Academy graduate, sustained the injury during drills with the team last week.

That is obviously good news for head coach Gus Bradley.

Having Ramsey on the field will be a big help for the Jaguars, who will have 2015 first-round pick Dante Fowler Jr. back on the field as he returns from a torn ACL past year.

That opinion, from renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews, confirmed that Ramsey’s rehabilitation indeed should be on the shorter end of the range commonly expected for a meniscus tear.

Jalen Ramsey underwent successful surgery to fix the meniscus in his right knee. If the damage was more severe, Ramsey could have been sidelined for up to six months and pretty much kissed his rookie season goodbye.

The Jaguars said Tuesday that starting right tackle Jermey Parnell suffered a nondisplaced fracture in his left hand during Monday’s OTA.
