Ryan Grigson and Chuck Pagano have done an extremely poor job of building a team around star quarterback Andrew Luck, and that showed in Sunday’s frightful 30-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

With limited practices this week the Texans might be able to use some of the same knowledge they have on Luck and apply it to Stafford.
Another omission of note is defensive lineman Kendall Langford, who will be missing his first game in his nine National Football League seasons. T.Y. Hilton is looking forward to playing with a stronger supporting cast. The running back was ruled out of the game against the Colts after experiencing swelling in his surgically repaired right knee.
Nick Foles replaced Smith at quarterback for the Chiefs, completing six of nine passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs are averaging just 361 yards per game this season, but turnovers aren’t a major issue, as Alex Smith has just two interceptions with seven touchdowns.
Whether it’s Foles or Smith, the Chiefs will be in good hands as long as their defense can continue to shut down opponents like they did on Sunday. Unlike the Colts, Kansas City rarely beats itself. Even their attempt to make the final score more respectable with a Donte Moncrief touchdown catch was squashed by a holding penalty.
“I don’t know if it ever crossed my mind on how it would be remembered”, Luck said after the game.
They may become enemies once the starting whistle blows, but Redskins coach Jay Gruden spent much of Sunday’s pre-game warmups on the Wembley Stadium field in London chatting with old teammates.
Even in Kansas City (4-2), the game has impact.
There are two very obvious and potentially compelling storylines to Sunday’s game between the Colts and Chiefs.
The Colts are now 3-4 on the season following a 34-26 win at Tennessee last week.
He hauled in a 53-yard catch from Tom Brady for a score in the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills.
Colts. Lots and lots and lots of points are on the way.
Indy punter Pat McAfee calls it the moment Colts players understood they would never be out of a game when Luck was in uniform. The Colts now rank 25th in passing defense and 24th in rushing defense under the longtime Baltimore Ravens linebacker coach, but Pagano has some input.
The Chiefs get their 11th interception of the season right before halftime, putting them in great field position to extend their lead.

The stats still look bad for the Indianapolis Colts’ offensive line.
