The San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs will both be gunning for a victory on Sunday when they meet at Arrowhead Stadium. Jamaal Charles is questionable for week one coming off his second ACL-tear, but the Chiefs have the most depth at running back in the league.

Despite the fact that both Jamaal Charles and Justin Houston will likely not play in Week 1, the Chiefs are still the favorite to win. Prior to Kansas City’s most recent dominance, San Diego was on their own four-game winning streak, where they controlled the series for two years as well.
“They’ll all play”, said Chiefs coach Andy Reid when asked if Ware would start.
During just a few series on the field, Gordon carried the ball 13 times for 81 yards and caught two passes for 49 yards this preseason. “We know we have guys that can spot them if needed”, Reid said. Cornerback Phillip Gaines (knee) and West (elbow) were full participants Friday and are expected to play. The Chiefs were tough across the board a year ago under veteran coordinator Bob Sutton, finishing third in scoring defense, seventh in total defense, fourth in sacks and second in third-down conversions allowed. Alex Smith and the Chiefs’ offense should be ready to go and begin the year off with a win.
