It was Ole Miss and Florida State, a game filled with scary injuries, dad memes and one of the wildest comebacks you’ve ever seen. Swinney, a redshirt freshman, left the game in the second quarter after hurting his left knee on his first carry of the game. We some dogs! We ain’t no puppies! Wide receivers, y’all can not be stopped. “We got the best running back in the whole damn league”, he continued. O-line, wake up! Y’all got the hardest coach; [offensive line] coach [Rick] Trickett get on you’re (expletive), and I know nobody in MS get on your (expletive) like Coach Trickett. What he said on Monday night was pretty special. I know nobody from MS is getting [in] your ass like Coach Trickett! “Things happen for a reason and the man above got a great for me”.
Florida State rallied in the second half for a 45-34 win over their SEC opponent. The Rebels surrendered 419 yards and two touchdowns through the air against the Seminoles, while FSU quarterback Deondre Francois averaged 8.1 yards per attempt.
During training camp, Winston’s teammate Doug Martin commented on his maturation into more of a vocal leader in the Bucs’ locker room. “He’s always inspiring and he’s shouting out motivational quotes, so he’s definitely growing as a leader and I believe this year he’s going to take those reins to another level as a leader”.

That’s right, the former Heisman Trophy victor was on hand for the game and gave an inspiring halftime speech that fired up the Seminoles.
