James Bond Movie Premier was a “SPECTRE”
The 47-year-old actor spoke about his journey from Casino Royale to Spectre. Considering its limited 280+ location release, its per theater average was $8,300, second only in the top ten to Spectre’s $9,000 average.

‘Spectre’ topped both the domestic and global charts once again – but that will change next weekend when “The Hunger Games” takes the stage to bring its series to a close.
The top of this week’s box office mirrors last week as the new James Bond film, Spectre, and the computer animated Peanuts Movie retained their respective numbers one and two spots in theaters this week, reports the L.A. Times’ Tre’vell Anderson. While its second week drop was significantly less than Skyfall’s in 2012, it’s still 20% behind Skyfall’s 10-day gross of $161 million, most likely due to the absence of the less than stellar critical reception.
And while the quirky family comedy did beat out the the other new release from this weekend, critics are not necessarily raving. An all-star cast (including Diane Keaton and John Goodman) didn’t hurt. Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” has spent seven weeks within the box-office top 10 and still shows no signs of slowing down.
Matt Damon’s flyaway hit “The Martian” dipped to fourth place with $6.7 million in its seventh weekend and a massive $207.4 million total, while Chilean mining drama “The 33” fared OK in its first week out, digging up $5.8 million for No. 5.
The $26-M movie, from Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros.a unit of Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), recounts the Y 2010 disaster that saw 33 miners trapped inside the San Jose Mine in Chile for 2months. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche, James Brolin, Lou Diamond Phillips and Mario Casas. The action ranges from a spectacular opening in Mexico City featuring one of the most ambitious single takes – though I doubt it really is – I’ve ever seen in ANY film to an outrageous Austrian snow chase to a hidden villain’s lair recalling the lairs of villains past. The surprise of the weekend was Fox worldwide Productions’ Bollywood film “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” which made an excellent $2.4 million off only 286 screens. Find out which ones in this weekend’s box office roundup.
