James Bond producers plan to ‘hang on to Daniel Craig’

Daniel Craig had a few choice words on being the current face of James Bond, but his producers are having none of it, keen on keeping the actor for at least another round as 007.

Daniel Craig returns to play Bond and Sam Smith’s single Writings On The Wall accompanies the action-packed film.

Meanwhile, Monica Bellucci, 52, now holds the title for the oldest Bond Girl in the franchise’s history after she was cast as widow Lucia Sciarra in the new movie ‘SPECTRE’. The movie can drag on with Bond’s excursion back to his family home, but “Skyfall” is one of the more beautifully shot Bond films, even when he’s fighting in a high-rise at night. The Illuminati-esque organisation creates more questions than it answers, but that doesn’t seem to be the point here.

It’s not unusual for a Bond script to be so twisted and complicated that it is impossible to keep up with what is happening, even with long explanation speeches by both the good and bad guys.

Apart from the United Kingdom, the new Bond started showing in five other countries after the glamorous premiere in London – with spectacular showings in The Netherlands and Scandinavia, too.

Academy Award-Winner Sam Mendes directed.

Each of us was given the task to champion a specific Bond. Mendes really outdid himself and went all out for that one. My admiration begins and ends with my love of the films. “He told me he was looking for a mature woman being close to Bond for the first time”, she told TODAY. Of course, my fingers are crossed for Elba. Bond and Hinx battle it out in Rome but it’s not until we reach North Africa via Austria that the personal duel is settled, and the real villain of the movie Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz; Inglourious Basterds) is revealed. After all, the estate of Ian Fleming has already tapped David Oyelowo (a British actor of African descent) to voice the latest Bond audio book.
