The biggest piece in free agency has finally re-signed with his respective team.

Plus, more than $2 million raised by the infamous television special went to charity.

Voted the first vice president in NBPA history in February, James has been increasingly outspoken about his desire to maximize his financial value.

It took slightly longer than expected, but LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers came to a contract agreement early Thursday afternoon.

Kevin Love is a Cleveland Cavalier, it’s official and there’s ink to paper already. Let’s see how the moves play out in the postseason this time around.

The Love-James relationship was constantly analyzed last season as the Cavs tried to mesh new players under first-year coach David Blatt.

A strong defender and outside shooting threat, Carroll started 69 games and helped the Hawks to a franchise-high 60 wins and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs last season. He would be worth a pickup if Kyrie Irving (knee) isn’t healthy for camp. Next season, they should be even better with an understanding of each other and a head for how they want to play.

Love recently said that watching the Cavs face the Golden State Warriors in the National Basteball Association Finals reiterated his desire to win a championship with LeBron James in Cleveland. But would Irving have been the difference between losing a series in six games and winning a title? Williams’ defense is another matter entirely, though Cleveland has likely solidified enough on that end by this point to account for most of Williams’ deficiencies.
