James Corden and Matt LeBlanc race tiny scooters

Matt LeBlanc has proven himself the star of the newly revamped Top Gear on BBC Two but he’s now admitted there was only one reason he took the job.

That was James Corden’s thinking when he challenged Matt LeBlanc to a race on The Late Late Show last night (June 14), anyway.

When asked what attracted him to the job, LeBlanc explained that filming on Episodes was about to finish. And I said – why not? I was a big fan of it before and then I went on it to promote Episodes and did a good time in the auto. “I set the record when I went. And then when they were looking for new hosts they said let’s get that guy he is pretty quick I guess”.

‘The roads here are so much wider and bigger, but in the United Kingdom and London the roads are so narrow because they were built for horses and carts, ‘ said Matt. I found you Kevin Hart / There are no small actors but you’re all small parts / You’re adorable. He seemed much more relaxed and natural than he ever does in the Top Gear studio, and talked about the fun that he has making the episodes and spending so much time behind the wheel.

However, it’s no wonder producers are keen to do all they can to spruce up the show as the first episode earlier this month opened with its lowest viewing figures in over a decade.
