So what next for Candace?
But it seems James doesn’t quite get the appeal of Candace’s Chewbacca mask.at least to start with.
Leave it to James Corden to remind us that, yes, it can get even better than that Chewbacca Mom video floating around our Facebook feeds. Her pure delight and insane, infectious laugh made the video go viral, and Candace, now known as Chewbacca Mom, became an overnight sensation.
When back in the studio, Corden also reads a note from real-life Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew, to Payne.
It looks like we’ll be seeing more of Candace Payne for the meantime, as she also appeared on Good Morning America on Monday in New York City, as reported by Just Jared.
Candace Payne was just paying an innocent, ordinary day at Kohl’s to return some items, when she made a decision to share with her friends through Facebook Live what she spontaneously got herself for her birthday.
The clip, if you’ve been living under a rock, shows Candace excitedly showing her friends a Chewy mask she picked up while shopping. She told Corden that she made the video in the first place because she knew her two children would take the mask from her once they saw it.
Candace Payne purchased the Chewbacca mask at a Kohl’s store in the Houston area.
“‘Stuff didn’t fit. Surprisingly, it was a little too big, thank you”.
And someone who’s definitely a fan is James Corden, as he invited her on his show for a special sketch – and it’s just as brilliant as you’d imagine!

While speaking with Corden, Payne expressed that “it is crazy” that her video amassed more than 140 million views in just three days. “It’s so much of why we do what we do”.
