The unranked (as of now) Nittany Lions will welcome No. 16 St. Lawrence to Pegula Ice Arena for a Thursday-Friday series this week. The Saints are 4-2 this season and are coming off of a split with Miami.

-DT Anthony Zettel (No. 5 defensive end, 31st overall) – The 284-pound tackle might better project as a 3-4 end in the National Football League but this season he’ll be a force at the three-technique in Penn State’s 4-3 defense. They were right there to make the play.
They aren’t pulling all the weight, however.
The most satisfying touchdown, at least to his fellow wide receivers, came from redshirt junior Geno Lewis, who went into the game with six catches for the season after posting 55 receptions a year ago.
“As a whole, the freshman group is a hard-working group”, Gadowsky said, specifically pointing out that his three freshman defensemen, Vince Pedrie, Kevin Kerr and Derian Hamilton, also have played well.
“I think we did not execute the game as we thought we would”, freshman setter Taylor Hughes said. “It’s a two-way street”.
The quiet weeks that preceded it aside, this was hardly a foreign scene for the Nittany Lions.
“He’s got a lot of ability”. This week could bring the sixth different lineup if right tackle Andrew Nelson, who left the Maryland game because of a recurring knee injury, isn’t able to play.
Gadowsky has been splitting time in net between Eamon McAdam and Matthew Skoff. “We’re focused on going 1-0 this week”.

If he went to Miami or anywhere else, Penn State would be owed a $5 million buyout, but that amount drops precipitously starting after the 2016 season.
As a program, Penn State doesn’t have much of a history with any school.
“He’s a guy that I love, he’s got great energy, he’s got obviously tremendous experience”, Franklin said. “We were looking to the sideline to get the call. the ball’s being snapped, and we’re not lined up yet”.
James Franklin said he has worked his ass off to become Penn State’s head football coach and called speculation that he might leave a distraction he doesn’t need. “It’s fun to play in and it’s motivating as well”. As we continue to get better as a hockey team, the student section continues to get better as well. “I like that we fought for 60 minutes, for the most part”.
Through Hackenberg’s first few years he has been somewhat of a disappointment.

This week, Franklin said the staff will alter practice “fairly dramatically”, which in the past has meant reducing the length of practice periods and, sometimes, an even further reduction in contact for a team that has struggled recently with its open-field tackling.
