James Harden’s adidas Sneaker Is Getting Steph Curry II Level Slander

The Twitter taunts are dropping like three pointers for Houston Rocket James Harden, who’s first signature shoe from Adidas, the “Triple Black” is being mostly panned by the public.

One user calls them “The Adidas Cable Repairman 1s”, while another says, “James harden really made sneakers for grandpa Joe from Charlie and the Chocolate factory”.

Nevertheless, sneakerheads, basketball fans and just about everyone else would expect more from the Harden-Adidas partnership, which reportedly will run for 13 years at a cost of $200 million. But I don’t know whose is worse, Harden’s or Curry’s. The shoe has a leather toe cap that combines with what appears to be a one-piece fabric upper with tube laces going through double eyelets and a padded collar. Curry was also destroyed by Twitter, saying that the only group to wear his shoes would be senior citizens on Life Alert. The outsole has two ripple-effect patterns for traction. We all felt reverberations stemming from the avalanche of snark that accompanied the release of Steph Curry’s Under Armour Curry 2 Lows back in June.
