James Harden thinks he should have won MVP over Steph Curry

Stephen Curry won the MVP last season.

Harden played more minutes and was slightly less efficient than Curry, but the Rockets relied on Harden to carry the team more than the Warriors relied on Curry on a nightly basis.

“Myself”, he said when asked which player enters this season as the best of them all.

Harden came in second place for MVP honors, but he feels he deserved it more… given how much of an impact he had on his team and the stats he put up.

“Credit the Golden State Warriors for an unbelievable year”, Harden said. “I believe that. I thought I was previous year, too”. There ” s so many factors. Last season, Harden led the league in total points scored and minutes played. “That stays with me”.

Harden can not stop talking about himself not winning an award – he seems more upset about that than he does about losing to the Warriors in the playoffs. “Just wait. I’ll show you…I am the best player in the league”.

The 2015 National Basketball Association MVP race appeared to be the closest we’ve seen in quite a few years.

Harden’s claim to the title of self-proclaimed NBA’s best player may be tightly contested (the league has a wealth of talent right now) but it’s not insane to suggest that he should be in the conversation. It was during the opening round of the 2014 playoffs, and the Houston Rockets had just gone down 0-2 to a red-hot Portland Trail Blazers team led by LaMarcus Aldridge, who was averaging 44.5 points and 13 rebounds through the first two games of the series.

I guess LeBron james is out of the running. “I did it because everybody on the bench was basically breathing down my neck and already standing up”.

“I know I would not have developed as an all-around player, as a person, as a leader. I’ve been feeling like that the whole training camp, making plays and making shots”. “There’s a lot that I didn’t know and understand about what I was walking into – the responsibility that comes with the position”. They now have the expectations of delivering more than what we saw this past season.

Confidence shows leadership and can be key to success, and Harden may not have won the MVP this year but he has the ability to do that next year, according to SB Nation.
