James Jones will return to the National Basketball Association champion Cavaliers for another run.
Jones is highly respected in the Cavs locker room and has acted as both a mentor and an example to the team’s younger players.
James Jones and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed on a one-year, $1.55 million contract, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Jones has stockpiled rings during his career as a supporting-cast member, and since the Cavs enter 2016-17 as the clear favorites to reach the NBA Finals out of the Eastern Conference for the third consecutive year, he has a strong chance to add championship No. 4 to his resume.
The two players spent four years together in Miami before Jones made the hard decision to leave home and follow his “brother” to Cleveland in 2014. “I love him. He’s the greatest teammate I’ve ever had”.
Everybody partied, but nobody partied harder than Cavs guard J.R. Smith who popped a bunch of bottles of champagne in Las Vegas, not to drink, but to just spray them over people.
