A representative of Foxx confirmed to People reports that the actor rushed to pull a man from a burning auto crash in Hidden Valley, Calif. on Monday night.

The “Django Unchained” star, 48, heard the accident and reported it to California Highway Patrol, then, fearing the auto would explode, dragged the man, who had been buckled into his seat, about 30 feet from the accident, witnesses told the gossip site.

Foxx had called 911 beforehand, as well.
