Jamie Foxx shows off hands-free Siri in new iPhone 6s ads

The other two 15-second promos focus on Mr. Foxx experimenting with Apple’s hands-free, voice-automated “Hey Siri” feature, which is integrated into the phone’s settings.

The “Hey Siri” voice detection feature apparently does not work when the iPhone 6S is lying face down on the table or inside the user’s pocket, though the exact reason behind this is not yet known.

This ad is part of the new “The only thing that’s changed is everything” campaign, which Apple launched alongside iPhone 6s last month. At one point in the ad, National Basketball Association star Curry nails a flawless three-point shot.

This weekend, Apple posted a handful of new advertisements for its recently launched iPhone 6s (and 6s Plus) handsets online, showcasing improvements to both Siri and the built-in Camera application. Midway through the process, he asks Siri how she thinks he looks. The Verge cited that the new commercials depended more on Foxx’s charisma to boast about the minor features of Siri, which all iPhone users may already be familiar with.

In addition to the Curry appearance, the clip also features demonstrations of the smartphone’s improved 12MP iSight camera and new Live Photos feature. Three new features talked about in the ad are moving photos, the ability to share photos quickly and the new 4K video shooting options.

So, what do the new ads bring? Recently, the iPhone 6s sold out in just 30 minutes after becoming available for preorder in South Korea. Apple is choosing to focus on specific aspects of the iPhone 6s separately, to entice consumers. The handset also includes Force Touch technology, iOS 9, upgradable to iOS 9.0.2 and the Apple A9 chipset.
