United’s lack of creativity and spark has been a huge cause for concern with Louis van Gaal’s men scoring just 7 goals in their last 9 games and with the January transfer window coming up the Reds must seriously be considering boosting their firepower.

“But that’s not the way in which this Manchester United team play, and the heart wants them to go forward, commit players and be reckless in some ways”.

Schweinsteiger revealed that United found it hard to break Leicester down once they were sitting deep and that they may have to rethink their strategy.

As much as we aren’t expressive in attack, I’ve got to say that Smalling’s run from defence have been extremely refreshing this year and I’m definitely enjoying watching him grow as a player and a leader.

To every single person that has supported me and never doubted me…Thank you…I’m still pinching myself!

Watching a replay of his ecstatic goal celebration after the game on Sky Sports, he said: “Unbelievable”.

The Leicester striker had just made English Premier League history. “I just wanted to put in a good performance and get three points”.

Jamie Vardy wrote a new chapter in his fairytale rise from the wilderness of non-League football to playing for England, when he became the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches on Saturday.

Vardy has been inundated by messages of congratulations, including from Van Nistelrooy. I could have taken off [Anthony] Martial because he didn’t do that either, so that is why I changed Rooney, because he was a little bit injured. They were paying a lot of money so there was high expectations of getting in to the league.

“He wants to progress on what we did last year and in years to come he wants to keep us going up and up and up”.

The record-breaking goalscorer has helped the Foxes to second in the table, sitting level on points with Manchester City.

“We also gave away another chance and so we could have lost the game in spite of our dominance”.
