Jamie Vardy contract talks planned by Leicester City
Vardy can extend his scoring streak to 12 straight Premier League games on Saturday when Leicester plays at Swansea.

While Leicester go into the weekend level on points with leaders Manchester City, Swansea are just four points above the relegation zone following a run of one win in 10 matches.
“At the start of last week after the Bournemouth game (a 2-2 home draw), I sat down with all the players and had good discussions with them on how we go forward and what we need to do to improve”, Monk said.
“But I think for sure they are genuine top-six contenders”.
However the source also says that Leicester are keen to keep Vardy, and are prepared to double his wages in order for him to stay, although it also mentions that the player himself is keen to remain at the King Power Stadium. With some astute signings, they are in a great position to land European football next season. We know it’s going to be a tough game.
“We’ve had a good week, worked very well and hopefully we can produce an even better performance because it’s about maintaining that high standard now”.
“It was a much-improved performance, considering where we were the week before”.
‘I was banging them in for fun when I was semi-professional at North Leigh, but people tend to dismiss those goals’.
Swansea have no fresh injury worries for the game, while the visitors are without Matthew James (knee injury) and Ritchie De Laet (ankle).
Vardy has managed 14 goals in as many appearances so far this season and he recently created history by becoming the first player in the Premier League to find the back of the net on 11 consecutive appearances.
Like Barclays Premier League record-breaker Vardy, Taylor started in non-league before turning professional.
Last night’s result against Southampton puts into perspective just how well we did to limit that team to pretty much nothing apart from the penalty.

– The Swans have used 19 players in the Premier League this season, fewer than any other side.
