Jamie Vardy gave no reason for rejecting Arsenal, Arsene Wenger reveals
Leicester City and Arsenal are still searching for their first Premier League wins of the season after sharing a 0-0 draw on Saturday, with the champions left fuming after two penalty appeals were denied.

“I had a lot of time while I was sat in a hotel doing nothing, so it was easy to think about it then and easy to put the pen to paper”.
Arsene Wenger has refused to confirm whether Arsenal had an interest in signing Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City this summer. “We are happy with his performance but I was happy with the performance of all my players”.
On the other side, Arsenal lost to Liverpool last weekend so this game will be especially important for them because they don’t want to fall six points behind the competition after just two games played.
The new agreement is reportedly a four year deal that will pay Mahrez around £100,000 per week.
The Italian is determined to keep Jeff Schlupp but West Brom are preparing another bid for the Ghana global having had a £12million offer rejected.
Robert Huth returns to the Leicester squad to face Arsenal on Saturday after completing his three-match ban.
Mahrez, 25, has recently signed a new deal with the Premier League champions after being heavily linked with a move to the Gunners.
Leicester City and Arsenal both started their 2016-17 Premier League campaigns last week with high hopes.
Wenger declined to speculate on Vardy’s reasons for rejecting Arsenal’s approach but said “you have to respect the decisions of people”, and he heaped praise on Mahrez, saying the winger “has been outstanding” for Leicester.
“I don’t want to talk about the decisions”, said City boss Claudio Ranieri. If you look at his numbers, certainly he was in the top three in the league a year ago. He told me he wanted to stay.

Attack: Wenger has suggested he might not gamble on Mesut Ozil or Olivier Giroud from the start so it looks like Alexis Sanchez will once again lead the line up front.
