Jamie Vardy to Arsenal
Vardy, at 29, is the same age as Arsenal’s current lead striker Olivier Giroud.

Now in the England squad preparing for the European Championships set to take place in France, Vardy will be fighting hard to make his way into Roy Hodgson’s plans for the Three Lions’ opening fixture against Russian Federation at the Stade Velodrome, Marseille.
Wenger chose to trigger Vardy’s release clause and personal terms on a four-year deal worth more than £100,000-a-week have since been agreed.
Days ago it became known that Arsene Wenger has already met the £20million release clause of Foxes striker Vardy, who is reportedly having his medical today.
Indeed, Vardy is to decide whether he wants to accept Arsenal’s offer before England head off for Euro 2016 tomorrow, just before lunchtime.
“I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it’s very good news for us”, the striker told Sky Sports after scoring twice in France’s 3-0 friendly win against Scotland on Saturday.
But Giroud thinks the pair can play alongside one another at Arsenal and said that, even if there aren’t plans to switch to a 4-4-2 formation, he felt like competition within the squad is a good thing.
So, it is now nearly confirmed that Premier League victor Jamie Vardy will be making a move to Arsenal this summer after reports from BBC and Sky Sports have announced it over the past 48 hours. I love Vardy as a player, and I think his pace, desire and success story make him a brilliant player to watch – but his wonderful season at Leicester was the best I expect to see from the striker.
Vardy joined Leicester from Fleetwood Town in 2012 for £1m, with the League One club set to receive as much as £6.8m if the former non-league star joins Arsenal because of a sell-on clause.

“Unfortunately for Leicester, Vardy just has no choice – he can not say no when a club like Arsenal comes knocking”, Cascarino wrote in The Times.
