After scoring a brace in Leicester’s 2-0 win over Liverpool, Jamie Vardy says he and his teammates are not thinking further than their next game.

The striker is set to agree to a lucrative new deal that will see him remain at the King Power Stadium until at least the summer of 2019.

Indeed, it was Mignolet who kept the scores goalless throughout the first half, making one routine stop from Mahrez before denying the Algerian’s stunning curling effort with a fingertip save 10 minutes before the interval.

“The execution, I can’t tell you how good that skill is”. Yeah unbelievable what Vardy did, because he watched the ball arriving, watched the opponent and watched the ‘keeper.

“I think it is nothing that people don’t know – obviously I would like to be here for a long time”, Vardy said.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp shakes hands with Leicester City’s Claudio Ranieri before their Premier League match on Tuesday. The first goal was unbelievable.

Defeat left Liverpool floundering in eighth, six points from fifth-placed Manchester United.

While still not favourites for the title, they have lasted better than anyone could possibly have predicted, and will fancy their chances if they can get positive results in their next two games, against fellow challengers Manchester City and Arsenal. Aguero looks back to his sharpest, having scored eight goals in as many games in 2016.

Kante superb, Okazaki’s best game for the club and Vardy outstanding.

“Our problem was when we had the ball in the right position we did not make the right decisions”.
