Japanese prime minister wishes to organize an ‘Olympics of robots’ by 2020

The Japanese prime minister said in press conference that he wants to organize an ‘Olympics of robots’ by 2020 in which whole world will take part.

According to the report, the Prime Minister, Mr. Shinzo Abe, was on tour of robotics factories in Saitama and Tokyo, when he revealed his wish.

He explained that he plans to create a special taskforce to make the robotics industry three times bigger as it is now in his country.

He said “In 2020, I would like to gather all of the world’s robots and aim to hold an Olympics where they compete in technical skills”.

He added “We would like to set up a council on making a robotic revolution a reality in order to aid Japan’s growth”.
