Jared Fogle’s non-profit never issued a childhood obesity grant, report says

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is now under house arrest on charges of possessing child pornography and having sex with minors, but another report out today says the foundation he ran was a sham.

What’s more, the foundation hasn’t paid Indiana an annual registration fee – of $5 – since 2008, when the grant distribution was to begin, USA Today says.

Fogle has been accused of boosting his image, rather than trying to help children.

The report also claims that 60 percent of the expenses from 2009 to 2013 went to paying the salary of the foundation’s executive director and friend of Fogle, Russel Taylor.

“If Jared was really interested in helping children through his foundation, he could have gotten more money”, Daniel Borochoff, president of CharityWatch, which analyzes and rates charities, is quoted as saying. Just like a great deal of stars, the a charitable foundation seems to be a lot more about impression enlargement as compared to charitable actions. His 2nd spouse, with whom Fogle has 2 preschool age kids, has announced separation procedures.

Today, Jared Fogle has been charged and has confessed to taking an interest in a five-year criminal plan to adventure youngsters.
