Jared Fogle Sentenced to 15+ Years
Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle was sentenced in an Indianapolis court to 15 years and eight months in prison, according to the Indianapolis Star. He said that the very thing that turned into Fogle’s cash cow-losing weight on a diet of Subway sandwiches-ended up turning him into someone obsessed with sex.

Bradford says Fogle told him he had sex with minors age 16 and 17 and had “a fairly extensive history” of using prostitutes.
Subway cut ties with Fogle shortly after the raid on his home earlier this year, and his wife filed for divorce after he agreed to plead guilty to the charges. “He emboldened a molester and a producer of child pornography”.
Thursday’s hearing included testimony from two defense witnesses, a forensic psychiatrist and a psychologist, who testified about their examinations of Fogle.
Federal prosecutors painted a picture of a man who was complicit for years in the production of child pornography by his employee, Russell Taylor, even if he wasn’t involved in the production himself. We work with the federal sentencing law, which was followed. Fogle has been ordered to pay them $1.4 million in restitution, as well as avoid porn and get sexual disorder treatment.
The prisoner is known for his appearance in the Subway restaurant commercials, as he experienced dramatic weight loss from supposedly eating exclusively from the website. But do go on about what defines a child, please.
That’s more than the 12 1/2 years that prosecutors recommended in their plea deal.
In arguing for a five-year prison term, his lawyer Jeremy Margolis told the judge Fogle was ready for prison and had “lost his wife, he’s lost the children he loved and he’s not going to see them for years and years and years”.
“He’s getting it after the fact, and he’s getting it enthusiastically”, DeBrota said. “Because he did that. because of that, if he is treated more harshly in prison, well then, he deserves it”.
“I want to redeem my life”, Fogle, his voice cracking with emotion, according to NBC. Your honor, I wish I had been able to address this before I violated these victims.
During his sentencing, Fogle told the court, “I take full responsibility for what I’ve done”, adding that he hopes to “make a positive impact”.

A few feel the sentence for Fogle is too lenient. Currently, he is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals. His attorneys requested he be placed in the federal penitentiary in Littleton, Colorado, to participate in a sex offender treatment program.
