Additionally, there was a note released in court from the mother of one of Fogle’s victims with frightening details of what her daughter has gone through.

Fogle was immediately taken into federal custody.
As he was being led from the courtroom in handcuffs, the father of two blew kisses to crying relatives.
And Bradford said Fogle told him he had engaged in sex with minors of 16 and 17 years of age and said that he had a sexual attraction in adolescents. Judge Tanya Walton Pratt told Fogle the court had the authority to sentence him to up to 50 years. Prosecutors said investigators had determined that Fogle did not abuse his own children.
He also agreed to pay $1.4 million in restitution to his victims. “I so regret that I let so many of you down”.
Jared Fogle is getting locked away for longer than expected. He pled guilty to the distribution and receipt of child pornography, as well as traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Under the plea deal reached in August, Fogle’s attorneys agreed to ask a judge for no less than 5 years in prison, while the government agreed to recommend a sentence of less than 13 years.
Fogle rocketed to stardom in 2000, when Milford, Conn.-based Subway plucked Fogle out of obscurity in IN after he lost 245 pounds eating the chain’s sandwiches. According to court documents, Fogle paid to have sex with minors, contacting prostitutes in order to facilitate the encounters.
Bradford stated that he was told by Fogle he had masturbated to those fantasies and had dreams about prepubescent females. She also ordered him to submit to a lifetime of post-prison supervision and fined him $175,000. For most of his adult life, Fogle said, he has been in the public eye, and eventually became dependent on alcohol, pornography and prostitutes.
Fogle told the federal judge presiding over his change-of-plea and sentencing hearing Thursday that he understands the charges and possible sentences. “He emboldened a molester and a producer of child pornography”.

DeBrota called Taylor an “absolute monster”, but said Fogle could have “caged” him. His lawyers in turn asked for no less than five.

The 38-year-old Subway Guy, famous for losing weight on a diet of Subway sandwiches, suffered with “mild paedophilia” because of his weight loss, argued his lawyers. He didn’t say anything to reporters when he arrived at the courthouse wearing a dark suit and red tie.
