Jared Goff tells Jimmy Kimmel he wants a massage chair

Cal quarterback Jared Goff was the No. 1 pick Thursday night at Auditorium Theater and plans are for him to start early for the Los Angeles Rams. That means Goff may get a chance to hang out with the Gunners on their preseason trip to California this summer. They also could trade back and try to accrue more picks in the draft, after they gave so up so much to move to the top pick overall.

“But then when you step aside, you go “Wow. He helped us get to where we are today and we want to build off what he did for us”. “So there is a ‘cool” factor there”.

The Rams traded up to take Goff, dealing numerous later-round picks to the Tennessee Titans earlier this month to acquire the first overall selection. Breitbart Sports’s Cole Muzio evaluated Goff as not a sure thing: “I see the Cal product as having a high ceiling as a middle of the road NFL QB with some significant bust potential”.

Myles Jack, a standout linebacker from UCLA, failed to be selected on the first day of the three-day draft over concerns about a knee injury that sidelined him all of last season. Bradford did not sign until the eve of training camp in July.

The Rams’ run of nine straight losing seasons is the NFL’s longest current streak, but they’re hoping for an immediate surge in their return home after a 21-year sojourn in St. Louis. Tampa Bay selected Vernon Hargreaves III, cb, Florida and (No. 106). The Rams boast a strong, young defensive line, have a stud at running back in Todd Gurley, and will play behind an offensive line that surrendered an NFL-low 18 sacks last season. But all was apparently forgiven, as Puig invited Goff to attend a Dodgers game and Goff said he would take him up on that offer. He played from a shotgun formation at California, but said he has since worked on taking snaps under center.

“Higbee had fallen, and Hemingway was a guy we targeted, and we got both of them”, Rams general manager Les Snead said. It’s the second straight year two QBs were the first names off the board and the seventh time in the modern era of the draft since 1967.

5, Kansas City traded its first-round pick (No. 28) to San Francisco for the 49ers’ second- (No. 37), fourth- (No. 105) and sixth-round (No. 178) picks. Foles is the most likely to be dealt for a possible pick during or immediately after the draft.

Cornerback Eli Apple went to the New York Giants at No. 10, putting three Buckeyes in the top 10 for the first time in school history. At that price, he could be a desirable commodity for a team in need of a backup.
