Jared Leto: ‘Hollywood is too conservative for a gay leading man’
But which ones deserve their own films the most?

Speaking at the European premiere of the Warner Bros.
Viola Davis, Jared Leto and previously mentioned Will Smith make their presence felt in the film, but it is really Margot Robbie who shines. Or will this constant streak of bad films cause Warner Bros.to drop everything all together? It’s about whether or not Smith wants to take part.
“Suicide Squad” opens today at AMC Showplace Edwardsville 12, AMC Eastgate Showplace 6 and opens Saturday at Dougherty Theaters Stadium Theatre in Jerseyville. Not only did the actor posthumously win an Oscar for the role, but he exceeded fans and critics impressions of The Joker’s characterization, which was played by Jack Nicholson and cartoony in comparison.
Based on the pre-release hype, you’d be forgiven for thinking Jared Leto’s Joker is the star of Suicide Squad. Her popularity led to her inclusion in the comics in 1993. Like most everyone else, he was won over big time by the trailers and clips, but now many who have seen the whole thing have changed their tune on the movie, if not on Harley herself. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? But a solo film is a long shot, as Boomerang would probably be more suited as a foe in a standalone movie for The Flash.
Ayer’s films have a feel all their own, and more often than not explore group dynamics and masculinity, making him seem like a flawless choice to helm Suicide Squad. But his screen time is fairly limited compared to some other characters. Croc Man, the Joker, Harley Quinn and El Diablo had to spend hours each day just getting in make-up and costumes. And Jay Hernandez is an underrated actor who has had some pretty good performances.

Most of the fans are disappointed over “Suicide Squad’s” failure to appeal to the critics. She elicits the strongest reaction, whether we admire or loathe her, we respect the stature and shadow she casts throughout the proceedings – it is after all, her A-Team. There’s a bit of mystery and intrigue to Katana that warrants a backstory. The first is Harley Quinn (portrayed by Margot Robbie in the film), a former psychiatrist who wields a very big mallet and an even bigger sex-appeal.
