Jared Leto is Totally Down for a Joker VS Superman Battle

Harley is a living breathing failure of the Bechdel Test because literally every action she takes is about a man, usually The Joker but sometimes Deadshot. One concern on the Warner side was that the final “Suicide Squad” cut didn’t live up to the edgy, fun movie teased in its first trailer.

With its top offshore market so far being the United Kingdom with $19.7M, the supervillain pic starring Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie salso pushed over Guardians’ entire gross run in South Korea with $12.1M after only one week in release.

One of the biggest complaints I heard about Suicide Squad is the film didn’t show enough of Jared Leto’s The Joker. Like watching a little kid try to pick a fight with a teenager or something, it just kind of makes you want to laugh, pat his lime green hair and say “aw, you sure did try though!”

Director James Wan, who is at the helm for the upcoming Aquaman movie, isn’t jumping the gun, though, and is keeping focused on what will make the character great and resonate with audiences (via Collider).

“If I die anytime soon, it’s probably likely that it’ll surface somewhere”. She and Jared Leto’s Joker serve as a sort of Bonnie and Clyde for Juggalos. DC really needed to avoid these issues in “Suicide Squad’, which they did, but only for about 30 minutes”. DC is struggling to generate the same level of excitement for its stable of Batman, Superman, and other Justice League fixtures that Marvel has managed to stoke for its movies about costumed avengers. If you’re a classic movie buff who can recall 1967’s “The Dirty Dozen”, you’ll also recognize and appreciate the idea of using hardened criminals to take down even more-evil baddies. Suicide Squad is not the first movie to have trailers with material that isn’t in the film and it certainly won’t be the last. It’s about honoring that world, but also, at the same time, making my own movie, as well. Harley Quinn, the Joker’s better half, was everything advertised and better. I’m not familiar with this version of the character at all, he must be from after my time as a regular comic book reader, but I sincerely hope that he has origins more distinct than this Mexican gangster caricature.

Ezra Miller made his DCEU debut as The Flash with two important cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he also made a surprise appearance in Suicide Squad, in another brief cameo where it’s revealed that The Flash is responsible for bringing in the nefarious Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney).

That all being said however, I personally believe that “Suicide Squad” was a below average movie that was extremely forgettable. This movie is just too full of people already.
