Jared Leto: The Joker Should Team Up With Batman

The real test here is going to be what happens in the weeks to come. So we can say atleast movie was able to break atleast one record so far. Now though the votes are in and the box office is good, with record-breaking sales. No critics have been harmed while reviewing this flick. The squad also beat out Deadpool by a tiny fraction.

Perhaps it’s the sheer star power that has enabled Suicide Squad to rake in so much money on opening weekend or perhaps fans are not too concerned with critic reviews and are happy to spend their money on it anyway.

If weekend estimates hold, Suicide Squad will also rank as the third-highest US opening of 2016, behind Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, which opened with $179.1 million in May, and DC sibling movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opened with $166 million in March. A whopping 193 of the 260 reviews counted were rotten as of Monday afternoon. Pictures shows, from left, Jay Hernandez as Diablo, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Karen Fukuhara as Katana in a scene from “Suicide Squad”.

Oh and I guess there’s another movie that also opened in the USA this weekend past.

Remember when Batman v Superman was ridiculed in reviews, yet the movie’s opening weekend was a stellar hit for the studio? Still, they have to concede that 73 percent of the audience like it.

Even though Suicide Squad has only recently released in theaters, it’s already time to start thinking about the upcoming Blu-ray release of the film later this year.

Except the critics made a decision to slam the movie hard. Many do not like it. I’m prejudiced. I have a vested interest in its success. Squad ‘s opening weekend is around $400,000 more than the current third-ranking movie, Disney’s Finding Dory, which opened to $135 million just last month, Deadline reports.

Will Smith’s biggest domestic debut. The Hunger Games grossed $152 million in its first weekend. Where available, the latest worldwide numbers for Friday through Sunday are also included. That’s okay; everyone has a right to their own opinion even when it’s wrong. Just from the trailer alone, it feels like an early 90s film in the spirit of Homeward Bound or Look Who’s Talking. “They’re fun and wicked and fans enjoy it”.
