Joel Kinnaman, who plays Rick Flag in Suicide Squad, agrees just as much and admits that while the whole cast would love some love from the critics, at the end of the day, it’s all about if the fans loved watching the movie.

Suicide Squad has landed with a bit of a thud amongst critics – our review from Bruce Kirkland notwithstanding.
“We learn as we go”, said Jeff Goldstein, head of distribution for Warner Bros. It’s not our job – it’s so much of who we are. “We’re modifying it in an exciting way to make all the subsequent films as great as possible”.
“There’s a scene in “Suicide Squad” where she changes clothes in front of a bunch of dudes, so her abs needed to be impeccable”. After fans flocked to theaters on Thursday night and Friday, audiences dropped steeply on Saturday. If reviews of the movie don’t tell the whole story, this certainly will: the movie now has a lower score on Rotten Tomatoes than its near-universally loathed predecessor, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“Batman v Superman” also opened to record numbers when it premiered, but tapered off at the box office as weeks went on, likely due to bad word of mouth.
This movie isn’t flawless, but it’s a wonderful film.
“Opening day box office should be mostly bulletproof in this case”, Robbins said. But are the members of this Suicide Squad so bad after all? Superman’s rise and fall in “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman” justifies Amanda Waller’s risky Task Force X program.
She also chimed in with that dependable chestnut that, while “this movie isn’t flawless”, it was made for the fans, a line that old mate Ben Affleck also chose to go with when discussing Batman v Superman.
The new PG film in wide release is Nine Lives, starring Kevin Spacey as a dad transformed into the family’s pet cat. Next up is Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” in June.
