Jarryd Hayne confirmed for Gold Coast Titans debut
Gold Coast are outright seventh on the competition ladder on 23 points, one ahead of the eighth-placed Warriors.

Already a match garnering plenty of intrigue, this clash between top eight challengers the Titans and Warriors has been elevated to a whole other stratosphere with Jarryd Hayne’s shock signing to the Gold Coast mid-week.
It will be Hayne’s first NRL appearance since Parramatta’s 33-20 loss to Canberra in September 2014.
“We’ll keep it simple, he’s not expected to go out there and run the show”, Henry said. “It’ll probably take him a couple of weeks to settle in here like it did me but you’re still getting paid to play footy so it’s pretty easy to adjust these days”. Fabri described his athletic form as being “clunky and messy” after gaining the weight required to play American football, but is now in the best shape of their seven-year partnership.
The Auckland-based club have won their past five matches on the Gold Coast – the Titans’ worst losing streak against an opponent at their home ground.
The Warriors head across the Tasman on the back of their golden-point win over Penrith, boasting an imposing record at Cbus Super Stadium.
Four months on and the Eels’ off-field woes have now played a significant role in the Titans landing dual Dally M medallist Hayne on a lucrative two-year deal.
When asked if he saw Hayne as a long-term investment for the club, Henry said it’s up to the club to make the most out of Hayne’s presence in the ranks, and he can’t hold ambition against him. Gold Coast are brimming with confidence and are set to welcome their biggest crowd to Cbus Super Stadium in over three years with Hayne’s return.

Tomorrow the Titans can look forward to their third straight home game but know the Vodafone Warriors have a healthy record against them and also attract a level of support which routinely drowns out the locals (although the Hayne factor will likely tip the balance this time).
