A representative for Jason Aldean said that the country star dressed as Lil Wayne for Halloween, after a photo surfaced of Aldean wearing blackface makeup and a wig with dreadlocks.

Country singer Aldean was the victor (for lack of a better word) of this year’s unofficial Celebrity Halloween Blackface Sweepstakes this year, thanks to an ill-chosen – or at least poorly executed – costume. A publicist for Broken Bow Records, his label, said they had no comment.
The picture above was sent to Nashville Gab. Aldean seems (seemed) like a smart person, he’s even a partner on Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service, along with Lil Wayne.

Aldean is no stranger to scandal – he was caught cheating on his first wife and high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery in 2012, when snaps of the singer kissing Kerr during a drunken night out appeared online.
The Rock Of Ages favourite eventually made a grovelling apology insisting she never meant to hurt anyone. His last album, Old Boots, New Dirt, was certified platinum.

He is also nominated for two awards, favorite male country artist and favorite country album, at the upcoming American Music Awards which airs later this month.
