The Jason Bourne star, Matt Damon, says, he has been exhausted, with a hectic work schedule this year and so intends to take an year off from work, to regain his stamina, to work in movies further. Audiences liked it too, giving it an A- on Cinemascore.

Matt Damon put James Corden through his paces as his Jason Bourne stunt double in a new sketch for The Late Late Show – with pretty hilarious consequences. “And that’s rare these days”.

Matt Damon reprised the spy role after a nine-year hiatus, during which he and director Paul Greengrass suggested that the franchise was finished.

“Jason Bourne”, the fifth film in the “Bourne” franchise, opened to an estimated $60 million total in the USA, surpassing “Star Trek Beyond” for first place. Combined with its domestic opening, “Jason Bourne” has now generated $110.1 million globally. But the film’s latest sequel raked in $60 million in its opening weekend. Although the sci-fi classic garnered good reviews, it lost some of its staying power. “So there’s something off about the course of Star Trek, and they’re going to have to fix it”. Despite the new film’s mixed-to-negative reception, it’s clear that the franchise still has moneymaking legs.

The raunchy comedy “Bad Moms”, on the other hand, managed to reap $23.4 million through ticket sales, a little higher than $20 million that went into making the movie.

Indeed, ever since “Bridesmaids”, Hollywood always seems surprised to discover there’s an audience for a female-driven ensemble comedy.

“The Secret Life of Pets” continues to perform extremely well, taking fourth place with $18.2 million even after four weekends in theaters.
