Kim bogeyed the 16th and 17th holes to drop back. The Englishman has finished second four times and third twice in the past eight events here. Three of the birdies came on the first five holes.
A year ago at Ko Olina, she won by holing out from 154 yards for eagle on the first hole of a playoff with Inbee Park.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, who collided with teammate Kimi Raikkonen at the first corner, finished second, 37.7 seconds behind Rosberg, while Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat used an aggressive race strategy to take third – only the second podium of the 21-year-old’s career.
At Duluth, Georgia, Wes Short Jr. shot a 5-under 67 in the PGA Tour Champions’ Mitsubishi Electric Classic to take a lead into the final round for the first time in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event. He is tied for 14th at two-under.
A week after making his final appearance in the Masters, the 66-year-old Watson is trying to become the oldest victor on the 50-and-over tour. He took the 2014 Quebec Championship for his only PGA Tour Champions victory.
