Jason Kenny Wins SIXTH Gold Medal At Rio Olympics In Keirin
British cycling golden couple Jason Kenny and Laura Trott have been showing off their medals and told their rivals they succeeded because their training programme was geared towards the Olympics.

Trott followed up her victory in the women’s team pursuit last week with a dominant showing in the omnium to become the first British female to win four career gold medals.
Trott, with her winning total of 230, achieved the successful defence of both her titles from London 2012, having also won the team pursuit earlier this week.
Kenny, who marries Trott next month, later won his third gold medal in Rio in the men’s Keirin, holding his nerve after two false starts.
After yet another night of glory on the track Manchester’s record as the most successful gold-medal factory in Olympic history looks secure. “People were turning up asking could they meet Jason Kenny, so they were a bit disappointed when I stepped out; they must have thought that I had really let myself go since the Olympics”.
But when the keirin was halted by the commissaires’ gun, which usually means a rider faces being disqualified, replays suggested Kenny may have strayed in front of the derny scooter’s back wheel before it had left the track, which is outlawed in the smallprint.
Kenny’s only defeat in Olympic competition came in Beijing to Hoy in the sprint. “[At the velodrome] we had to go through the whole process of dope control and stuff like that, and we didn’t get back to the [athlete’s] village until 9”.
The 24-year-old from Cheshunt fended off Belgium’s Julien D’Hoore and America’s Sarah Hammer in the time trial, flying lap and points race.
Teenage gymnast Amy Tinkler – Team GB’s youngest athlete at 16 – won bronze in the women’s floor exercise final.
Awang’s third-place finish brought home the first ever cycling medal for Malaysia. “It felt like a dream”.
Trott declared her love for her man in a tweet. I guess I’m exhausted. “I was just floating through it”, the 28-year-old said.
“It’s mental to be level with Chris”.
“I can’t believe I’ve done that”, she said of her fourth gold medal.
