Jason Momoa’s “The Crow” reboot to begin production in January
Now here we are, nearing the end of 2016, and discussing claims that The Crow will finally, at long last, no-seriously-for-real-this-time, enter principal photography in 2017.

According to The Wrap The Crow is now said the be a “priority project” for Relativity, now it has its funding back in place. The Khal Drogo depicter recently took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and director Corin Hardy, seemingly confirming that he has closed the deal.
The Crow franchise has gone through some unfortunate things in the last 20 years – there were all those straight-to-DVD sequels, a stream of replacement actors and a major bankruptcy.
No sooner had that news broke than rumors started to swirl that Jason Momoa was the leading candidate to land the role of The Crow. When Relativity, the studio that owns the rights to the film, went bankrupt a year ago, we lost all hopes for a remake.
Like the original, the story follows Eric Draven, a murder victim who returns from the dead, seeking vengeance on those who murdered him and his fiancée with the help of a mystical bird. I personally feel like it’s kind of unnecessary. I’m happy I did it for that reason. We’ll let you know once we know.

Of course, he is in the minority on this. No release date has been confirmed, nor has there been any official confirmation from Relativity, the beleaguered studio behind The Crow. It’ll be Momoa’s next project once he’s finished shooting Justice League for Zack Snyder (and presumably before he heads off to make Aquaman with James Wan). Keep it here at FlickSided for more information as it becomes available.
