Jason Witten May Be Out for Cowboys/Falcons Game

The Cowboys now are without top receiver Dez Bryant, who suffered a foot injury in the team’s season-opening win over the New York Giants, and quarterback Tony Romo, who broke his collarbone Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Is Dallas a true contender?

Owens looks great at 41 years old, but he’s five years removed from the National Football League and despite solid traditional numbers (72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010), he wasn’t exactly having a positive impact on the game as a whole. “There were some things said where it kind of may have fractured the relationship between myself and Witten and Romo”, Owens said.

“As far as me being on the football field, I think everybody knows what they would get”.

“If there was an opportunity for me to go back, I wouldn’t want to ruffle those feathers. That’s all I ever wanted”.

“A lot of people talk about the Hall of Fame”.

The Cowboys were scheduled to work out a few wide receivers with hopes of finding a temporary replacement for Bryant. Before we know it, he’s running out and he’s in the huddle. “I loved my time in Dallas”. But even if the team were to sign Owens and then struggle, T.O. insists he would not become a problem in the locker room. And I know throughout my career that there are some things…I shouldn’t have said. “For me, I respect Jerry [Jones], I respect their organization”.
