Jat Protests Turn Violent, Mobile Internet Blocked in Haryana
Mobile internet services have been disabled in the district of Jhajjar, Panipat, Sonipat, Hisar, Rohtak, Jind and Bhiwani, says an Indian Expres report.

The decision has been taken “to maintain law and order” in the district, he said.
He said that mobile services will continue in the district, as reported by Firstpost.
Jat community protesters continued their agitation on February 18, 2016 after talks between leaders of the community and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar failed to resolve reservation issue.
Life remained paralysed in most parts of Rohtak, Jhajjar and some other districts of the state as the agitation entered the sixth day on Friday.
Haryana Roadways suspended its bus services between Hisar-Delhi today as a precautionary measures due to the ongoing Jat agitation.
Prohibitory orders have been clamped in Rohtak, banning assembly of five or more persons.
“Some roads are blocked by the protesters”. While college and university students had yesterday joined the protest at Rohtak, on Thursday students from various places, including Hisar, Kurukshetra and Kaithal also joined them.
While Health Minister Anil Vij alleged that the Congress had always misled the Jats, State Congress chief Ashok Tanwar said that before coming to power in Haryana, the BJP leaders had made tall promises to the community and was now finding itself in a fix.
Several Jat leaders had asked the Government to bring a Bill in the Assembly on the quota issue.
A “kutcha” road, which was being used by people for going to Bhiwani as the protesters had blocked main road, was dug up by protesters at Charkhi-Dadri on Thursday.
He said that the unrest in the state was due to the inciting statements made by the BJP leaders.

The Jat leaders showed no signs of relenting and claimed that they will seek “support” from the community leaders from Uttar Pradesh.
