Should Wenger move for Hernandez, it is likely he will have to more than double the fee Leverkusen paid United. Javier Hernandez has been voted Bundesliga Player of the Month for the second time in a row.

According to an exclusive from the Daily Star, the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is plotting a move for the former Manchester United star, Javier Hernandez.
“Hernandez cut a popular figure at United, and Louis van Gaal’s decision to move him on over the summer proved to be a poor decision, and any potential move to Arsenal would nearly certainly upset their fan base”, said Caughtoffside.
Meanwhile, United have netted only two goals in their last five league encounters, after spending £36million on Frenchman Anthony Martial on deadline day.
The striker has gone on to score 19 goals in 21 games which has attracted interest from Arsene Wenger who is keen to find cover for Olivier Giroud.
Hernandez spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, where he scored seven goals in 23 La Liga games.
The attacking midfielder has scored 14 goals already this season, making him the league’s top scorer behind prolific teammate Jamie Vardy, who has 15 to his name.
Bayer Leverkusen will resume league play against Hoffenheim on January 23.
