The Mets placed Cespedes on the disabled list Wednesday with an injured quad, which some have speculated he may have aggravated while playing golf.
If the Mets believe Cespedes is making an earnest effort to get his leg healed and get back on the field as soon as possible – and his insistence on trying to play through the injury certainly suggests he is – they should just let the guy golf.
