Jay Cutler played through ligament damage in his thumb vs. Eagles
The game was effectively settled after a disastrous start to the second half which saw Chicago concede turnovers on three of their first four possessions after the half-time break. They’re probably not going to make the playoffs next season, either. But they’re doing just fine so far.

Defensive backs Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan left Monday’s game with concussions; there was no immediate word on their status Tuesday.
Ahead of his trip to Philadelphia to take on Wentz and the Eagles, the coach praised the rookie quarterback.
Call me a pessimist, but my intuition says that quality alone can’t sustain a team over the course of a 16-game season.
One thing that certainly didn’t help the Bears were injuries.
The Eagles soon took the lead, and they never looked back in the second half.
The Chicago Bears got bullied and broken on Monday night by the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, including an injury to starting quarterback Jay Cutler’s right hand that caused him to miss the entire 4th quarter.
The Eagles aren’t getting much from their run game, but their defense sure is chipping in. “He’s showing great maturity for a young guy from that perspective in terms of the amount of communication he’s involved with…” That play just aggravated it.
You can toss the reports of Carson Wentz not being National Football League ready, or it will take him time to adjust to the speed of the National Football League coming out of “little ole” North Dakota State right out the window cuz the Eagles have themselves a quarterback. “Everyone in that locker room is upset right now”. This is not a good sign going forward for the offensive line.
“But to eliminate it down the road, I’m not a doctor, so I can’t tell you that”. That falls on the rest of the offense. Now, he’s the Eagles’ starter with two wins already under his belt. One of the touchdowns followed an interception and 28-yard return by Nigel Bradham to Chicago’s 2-yard line and another followed a fumble recovery by Ron Brooks.
But another big one came on the strip-sack by undrafted free agent Destiny Vaeao that teammate Connor Barwin said “turned the game”.
As previously mentioned, the Steelers last victory in the city of Philadelphia came in 1965 (Oct. 24). Obviously it felt bad without looking at the tape.
