Aliona Vilani has the look of shock and happiness on her face as she and Jay McGuiness learn they’ve won Strictly Come Dancing 2015. She said on the show last night: “To dance a dance and get that immediate round of applause, or whatever the reaction is, it’s there and it’s incredible and for me, it’s made me want to go into theatre”.
“We’re really happy that you liked it”, he added to the audience, before shedding a few tears.
“You’re a lovely ballroom dancer”, said Goodman.
She described her experience on the BBC1 celebrity dance show as “life changing” and said: “I think I’ve got a friend for life in Giovanni”.
They scored a ideal 40, with four 10 scores, in the judges’ choice routine, the tango, with Kevin notching up his very first 10 from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
Within the money: The 25-year-old boy band show star admitted he loves the beautiful dancer, 31, after it was claimed he’ll rake in as much as £1million following his appearance on the BBC ballroom showThe confession comes as reports surfaced claiming Jay is about to rake in huge cash following his triumphant stint on Strictly. Now the second part of tonight’s final is on, presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have unsurprisingly had a quick wardrobe change. I’m glad I got to do as many dances as possible; that was really important.
Viewers were delighted to see Ola Jordan back on the show for her final ever performance, as she danced alongside her co-stars in the opening performance of the show. “A little issue with balance”, said Tonioli.
“You’re Number One in my book”, said Darcey.
Meanwhile, broadcaster Katie Derham and partner Anton Du Beke finished in fourth place.
That meant that the remaining three couples had to dance again, this time it was over to the couples to pick their favourite routine from the series.
“You’ve brought out the best in me and I really am forever grateful”, she told her partner who was making his first ever appearance in a final after 12 years on the show.
