Aliona Vilani is leaving Strictly Come Dancing on a high after seven years.
This led to many viewers calling the result as a “fix” after Kellie – who was technically the best dancer on the evening as decided by Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, was not crowned the victor.
She wrote: “After 7 years on Strictly Come Dancing, as my finale, this has been my best Strictly experience ever by a long way!”
In the final, EastEnders actress Kellie Bright topped the leaderboard after scoring a total of 119 for her three dances – two flawless 40s and a 39. “I can’t face the controversy!”
“I think it’s down to whoever watches as to whether I deserve to win or not”, he explained.
He said: “I think like anything in life you can work as hard as you can but you always need an element of luck”.
“But a lot of the time the papers create it and that sort of thing, but I think no matter what I say people will write whatever they want to write”.
Presented with the coveted glitterball trophy, the star of The Wanted said: “I feel spaced out and really weird”.
“I think one of the biggest journeys of the performance…”
She shared: “To be honest, I’m so happy”.
Meanwhile, broadcaster Katie Derham and partner Anton Du Beke finished in fourth place. “All I wanted to do was get to the final”.
