AIADMK has won over 130 constituencies which includes seats won by allies – Karunas (Mukkulathor Pulipadai in Thruvadanai), U Thaniarasu (TN Kongu Ilangyar Peravai in Kangeyam), and Thammemun Ansari (Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi in Nagapattinam).

As Gujarat CM, Mr Modi had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Ms Jayalalithaa in May 2011 while she reciprocated the gesture by participating in the ceremony in which he was sworn-in as Chief Minister of Gujarat for a third straight term in December 2012.
Jayalalithaa’s charisma won her a second term, though her arch rival Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) managed to win more than 70 seats.
Addressing party workers, Jayalalithaa called the victory a historic one and vowed to strive for the people with renewed vigour. She also said the outcome has put “permanent end to the family politics” of DMK.
Overwhelmed by the verdict, jubilant AIADMK workers burst crackers and distributed candies across the state.
The newly-elected 132 MLAs of the party met at the AIADMK headquarters here and elected Jayalalithaa as their legislature party leader. Its allies IUML and Puthiya Tamilagam are leading in one constituency each.
Party president M.Karunanidhi has won his 13th assembly election.
Chennai: Proving exit polls wrong, Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK appeared set to retain power on Thursday, with its candidates on the winning track in 136 of the 232 constituencies.
DMDK-PWF-TMC alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate Vijaykant came a tame third in Ulundurpet while his PMK counterpart Anbumani Ramadoss was the runner-up in Pennagaram segment, which fell under his Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency.

Several of the sitting Ministers including her trusted aide and Finance Minister O Panneerselvam. In Anna Nagar, Handlooms Minister S GokulaIndira is trailing by over 1,500 votes.
