‘Jealous’ Pitpull Escapes Cage And Mauls Baby To Death
The mum and gran of a six-month-old baby who was mauled to death by a dog in a horror attack have been jailed.

Molly Mae suffered a catalogue of horrific injuries including a fractured skull and bites to all four limbs, and died of blood loss.
Susan Aucott, 56, was jailed for two years after daughter Claire Riley, 23, had gone drinking with friends and left her in charge of little Molly Mae Wotherspoon when devil dog Bruiser launched his “sustained attack”.
The dog subsequently escaped from its cage in the kitchen and opened the door to the living room, where the baby was on the changing mat.
A vet told the court the court that the pet was “the most aggressive dog I have ever seen” at a previous hearing.
Both women were also both given a ban from keeping dogs for 10 years.
Riley’s mother, Aucott, 55, also admitted a joint offence of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog, resulting in death.
“He was an aggressive and risky dog and should not have been left in the house with a person who could not control him”. “Susan Aucott simply was unable to bring Bruiser under control or remove Molly Mae from the situation”.
The baby bled to death, the court heard.
At the second attempt to sentence the pair, a scuffle with the press broke out outside the Northampton Crown Court.
Riley was taken from Northampton Crown Court by ambulance after the incident on the morning August 26.

Police were forced to use pepper spray to subdue Bruiser for emergency services to gain access to the property and Mr House said it later took “several people” and a “significant amount of time” to euthanise the dog. It is understood shamed Riley covered herself in a cream-coloured jumper and Aucott hid under an umbrella. Sadly, the simple truth is that her death in October 2014 was entirely avoidable.
