Jeb Bush drops out of Republican race

Before Saturday night’s poll he managed to win massive support from the South Carolina Republican machine, securing the crucial endorsement of the state’s popular governor, Nikki Haley.

“Saturday’s SC primary, where he finished second to front-runner Donald Trump, marks the beginning of the ‘real Republican primary”, Florida Sen.

Donald Trump, an outspoken business tycoon, has won the SC primary with 32.5 percent of the vote, followed by Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Mr Bush has now dropped out.

On what this means for Rubio and Cruz: “A second place for Rubio is a big win for him”.

Trump took New Hampshire after Cruz won Iowa.

The 2016 election has shown voters’ anger with the political establishment and the influence of big money.

The former secretary of state also captured the backing of voters who said electability and experience were important in their vote. But in a continuing sign of her vulnerability, Mr Sanders did best with voters looking for a candidate who is caring and honest.

After routing Clinton in New Hampshire and finishing a strong second in Iowa, states with almost all-white populations, Sanders had hoped to prove in Nevada that he could win over black and Hispanic voters and compete nationally as the race moves to states with more diverse populations.

Sanders said in a statement that he’d congratulated Clinton on her victory, but then declared his campaign has “the wind at our backs as we head toward Super Tuesday” – the multi-state voting contests on March 1. “When you’re the commander-in-chief, you’re the commander-in-chief on day one”.

While Clinton’s campaign once saw Nevada as an opportunity to start pulling away from Sanders, her team had anticipated a close contest with Sanders.

Clinton’s victory could be vital in pushing back the Sanders challenge that has been tougher than nearly anyone expected.

Clinton shook off some of the anxieties shadowing her campaign with a solid victory in Saturday’s Nevada caucuses.

Clinton celebrated her Nevada triumph but acknowledged she has work to do in persuading voters that she has their best interests at heart.

Trump, now the clear leader in the delegate race, cemented his standing as his party’s favorite.

Inside the packed hotel conference, more than 500 of Trump’s supporters booed when he mentioned their names. First, he defeated, probably for good, the attack that he is insufficiently prepared to be president.

A string of victories for Clinton and Trump in Super Tuesday contests would give them commanding leads in the delegate race, dampening prospects for their rivals to catch up.

Right now, it is a three-way race between Trump, Cruz, and Rubio.

Even with a last-place finish, Carson said he is not going anywhere.

Sen. Dean Heller says he’s endorsing GOP presidential contender Marco Rubio.

Jeb Bush has announced the end of his presidential run after barely managing to earn a fourth place finish in SC.
